SIDING, WINDOWS, AND DOORS IN CUMBERLAND CENTER

Creative product selection and expert installation combined to create the ideal low-maintenance exterior for this client’s new home.

These homeowners, who were living in Massachusetts at the time, purchased this 45-year-old colonial-style house in Cumberland, Maine, as their retirement home. While there was nothing currently wrong from a functional perspective, they wanted to update and renovate the exterior so that it would be fresh and low-maintenance for them when they moved in, and also take the façade to a new level design-wise.

This was one of our favorite projects because of the creativity involved, the collaborative process with the client, and the diversity of products we combined to achieve the finished look.

For siding, we installed LP SmartSide, which is a manufactured siding product made out of wood fibers.

Windows were all Andersen 400 Series, including several bay, double-hung, and picture windows.

And the client liked the window casing from their longtime home in Mass., so we created crown, casing, and roofline trim with a combination of AZEK and Vinylboard lumber (Certainteed Restoration Classic).

Finally, we completed the look with high-quality ThermaTru exterior doors.
