NORTH DEERING EXTERIOR

When pride of ownership met a desire to do a little less maintenance, it was time to call Cardinal.

This project, on Olde Birch lane in Portland’s North Deering neighborhood, was a complete renovation for homeowners who decided they were going to stay in their home and wanted to have it maintenance-free for the rest of their time there. To make that possible, we updated their entire exterior including roofing, siding and windows.

The most urgent problem they were experiencing was with the roof, which was causing water to leak into their mudroom. To fix the issue for the long-term, we replaced the old roofing with new Certainteed Landmark shingles.

For siding, the home had wood clapboards that were rotting and needed paint year in and year out. The homeowners didn’t want to paint anymore, so we installed Certainteed Monogram siding for them in the color Arbor Blend. The homeowners chose Certainteed products for both their roofing and siding because of the quality and security of a national brand, the great color selection, and the lifetime limited warranty Certainteed offers on all of their products.

For windows, the homeowners had their original Andersen windows, which have since been surpassed in insulation value and ease of maintenance by other, more modern products. The frames were still in good shape, so we put brand new Paradigm replacement vinyl windows within the Andersen frames to give them the low-maintenance comfort they were looking for.
